Bonfire/Firework Night in and Around Broadway

If you’re staying in one of our cottages around Bonfire Night, there are several local events to enjoy.

As the owner of our cottages in Broadway and Bretforton, I know November is a lovely time to explore the Cotswolds, with autumn walks, quieter villages and plenty of opportunities for a cosy evening out. Here are three Bonfire Night events to look out for in 2026.

Steam, Sparks & Spectacle at Cheltenham Racecourse

Saturday 7 November 2026

For something a little different, the Steam, Sparks & Spectacle event combines a fireworks display at Cheltenham Racecourse with a special heritage train journey from Broadway.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway runs a special service from Broadway Station to Cheltenham Racecourse, making the journey part of the evening. The event includes fireworks, a funfair, food stalls and family entertainment.

It’s a great option for railway enthusiasts and families looking to make an evening of it. Tickets include the train journey and admission to the display, but booking ahead is advisable.

Find details and tickets on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway website.

Chipping Campden Firework Display

Saturday 7 November 2026

Chipping Campden is another option for a traditional community fireworks evening. The event at the Recreation Ground is planned to include a bonfire, fireworks, food and drink stalls, a bar and a raffle.

With its historic High Street and independent shops, Chipping Campden is also worth exploring during the day before heading to the display in the evening.

Check the latest details with the event organisers before travelling.

Evesham Bonfire & Fireworks Spectacular

Thursday 5 November 2026

Evesham’s annual Bonfire & Fireworks Spectacular takes place at Corporation Meadow, offering another option for an evening of fireworks and family entertainment.

Organised by Evesham Town Council, it’s a popular local celebration and a convenient option for guests staying in our cottages around Bretforton and Broadway.

Our cottages in Broadway and Bretforton provide a base for exploring the surrounding villages and countryside at this time of year.
